Pain in my heart

Would you be in pain if I left you,
Would it kill us both
If I left you I think it would.
So why am I thinking of doing
what I am told will help my pain?
I am told to have another relatioship
it'll fix me double quick
But how can it fix when it rips me
up?
If I only knew that it wouldn't hurt us
it wouldn't hurt you
I would
but how can I do such a thing to you?
When all I can think is:
Would it kill our relationship?
